We designed a facility that is functional yet aesthetically pleasing, using materials commonly used in the surrounding community college. The living, dining and sleeping quarters were designed to provide a second home for 12 to 15 co-ed fire-fighters/paramedics as they work 24-hour shifts. The facility also houses six pieces of fire-fighting equipment. The building materials and equipment were selected to meet very stringent criteria, enabling the City of Ocala to maintain and use this facility for many years.
